THE BOOKS

Many things inspire me. The sights and sounds of my favorite cities. The people I have met and meals we have shared. I walk a lot, especially along the Hudson River. The water relaxes and restores me like nothing else and carries me into stillness. Here is where I am quiet and a hear story being told to me. I go home and record it so I may share it with my audience. Sometimes from a stage, at other times from the covers of a book.

Around the World With Mister R

The narrative voice unhestitantly provided the character's thoughts, which were oftern detail focused and reminded me of Rita Mae Brown's work....The lavishness of the writing was very hypnotic, almost seductive, as the mystery of Mister R built to a climax that makes you say, 'Ah ha!'

~ Flying With Redhair Crow (Germany)

A well written suspenseful mystery that draws the reader in from the very beginning of the story. The story is highly visual and coupled with a cleverly winding plot, it has the makings of a good mystery film....A New Orleans gothic tale.

~ Indigene Book Reviews (Canada)

An excellent pick for those seeking truly original and unique fiction.

Synchronicity. Not only does award-winning investigative journalist Sebastian Stephens believe in it, synchronicity guides his life. Stephens is teased throughout the day by the spirit of an Indian boy until a Native American apparition asks him to save her boy. Stephens suspects she must have something to do with the spirit-boy, but he doesn't comprehend his mission until he arrives in New York City. There at the invitation of his friend Detective Cliff Nolte, synchronicity points the way. Since their last collaboration, Nolte has been appointed head of a special task for investigating a suspected ring of pedophiles that includes a number of Catholic priests in Brooklyn. He happens to invite his friend Sebastian to come from New Orleans to the NYC as a consultant right before Nolte is notified about the discovery of the body of a young American Indian boy near a charity donation bin. The cause of death is apparent drug overdose, but there are too many unanswered questions to simply close the case. The next day when Stephens is taken to the morgue, he recognizes boy from his dream. Clearly, the death of this boy is linked to both the apparition as well as Nolte's task force. The synchronicity is much too strong to be otherwise. The other connections the two men uncover will leave Stephens staring into an abyss he never suspected existed.
